In India numbers of agriculture, universities are located in different states. About one we are going to discuss here today is the agriculture university from the Gujarat state.

Name of this university is Navsari Agriculture University. You will come to know in detail about this university, its organizational structure, facilities, faculties and more as we move further into our discussion. First, we will start with the brief introduction and establishment of this university.

About Navsari Agriculture University:

People also know Navsari Agricultural University as NAU. Since May 1, 2004, NAU of former Gujarat Agricultural University has been awarded the degree of a fully fledged independent State Agricultural University.

Name of the University suggests itself the location where it is situated. Yes, Navsari of the Gujarat state where NAU is located. This university is teaching agricultural education up to the Ph.D. level in all the instituted faculties of Horticulture, Agriculture, Veterinary, and Forestry.

At present, there are 2 zonal research stations, 3 main crop based research stations, 3 regional research stations and 6 satellite research stations operating by NAU. Through Krishi Vigyan Kendras, NAU transfers technologies to farmers and agriculture entrepreneurs.

The only motto of the NAU is to build Navsari Agricultural University as most reputed Knowledge Power Centre of the country in the field of Agriculture and its related science.

The organizational structure of NAU:

Head of the university known as chancellor. From the head of the department to vise chancellor, all need to report the head of the university. There are different departments for different matters.

One can contact related department officer as per need. For education, research and extension activities there is a department while for administration, fiancé, account and service matters there is the different department. It becomes easy to communicate with the related department as per the query.

The infrastructure of the NAU is also well set up. There are specially made two new Girls Hostels and one New PG Hostel for Postgraduate students. One more girl hostel is under construction. Forestry and polytechnic colleges’ buildings are new too.

Admission to IIT Gandhinagar:

IIT Gandhinagar allows admission in all the programs. A student can take admission to the B.Tech Program by clearing Joint Entrance Examination. Admission is also offered for M.Tech., Ph.D., PGDIIT in Engineering, and other programs. However various criteria have to be fulfilled for getting admission to these programs successfully. Certain score credit must be maintained to secure the degree.

For admission in M.Tech, a valid GATE score is compulsory. Same as admission procedure to be the part of this institute as a faculty member or staff candidates have to apply for IIT Jobs.

UPSC formed in the year 1926. It is completely owned by Government of India. Head office of UPSC is located at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi. In India, the Union Public Service Commission is authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination to recruit officers for various civil services.

UPSC Examination Pattern:

There are two phases of UPSC examinations consist of the preliminary round followed by the mains. The Preliminary exam consists of the objective type of questions which test a candidate on two papers, General Studies, and Aptitude. Civil Services Mains examination being a subjective paper assesses a candidate through nine papers and an interview.

The entire process for UPSC exam from the notification of the Preliminary examination test dates to the declaration of the UPSC results takes almost a year. Based on this Examination process all the eligible candidates can apply for UPSC Recruitments and jobs.

Eligibility, Age Limit and Number of attempts:

Candidates must be graduates or above. Also, the candidates who are about to appear for their final graduation exams are also eligible to appear for this examination.

For open category candidates, the maximum number of attempts permitted is six. OBC candidates have nine attempts permitted. There is no limit on the number of attempts for SC, ST candidates.

If we talk about the age limit then the minimum age limit for candidates is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 32 years. However, the upper age limit is further relaxed by 5 years and 3 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories respectively. All these criteria are for UPSC Recruitments and for Vacancies in different departments.
